Travel Hospital Pharmacist | Sulphur, Louisiana

A dynamic opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to contribute to patient care in a hospital setting. This travel assignment offers the chance to engage with a multidisciplinary healthcare team at a 230-bed facility. The role involves working with EPIC pharmacy systems and supporting a wide range of pharmacy operations.

Location: Sulphur, LA
Schedule: Multiple shift options with varying hours (7AM-3:30PM, 8AM-4:30PM, 1PM-9PM, 2PM-10PM, 7AM-5PM, 11AM-9PM, 12PM-10PM, 7AM-7PM, or 8AM-8PM), including 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts. Flexibility in shift selection is available to accommodate personal preferences and facility needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow efficiency
• Consulting with physicians and nursing staff on pharmacotherapy adjustments
• Applying pharmacokinetics principles for individualized patient care
• Participating in medication safety and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Active pharmacist license in Louisiana
• Experience in a hospital pharmacy environment preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC pharmacy systems is advantageous
