Travel Hospital Pharmacist - Sun Prairie, Wisconsin

A travel pharmacist position is available at a 75-bed hospital in Medford, WI, with an ASAP start date for a 13+ week assignment. This role requires managing critical pharmacy operations in a fast-paced inpatient setting to support a diverse patient population.

Schedule:

• Primarily 10-hour day shifts
• Weekend rotations with 8-hour shifts

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders in EPIC and ensuring accuracy
• Overseeing technician work and providing guidance
• Handling pharmacist phone queries promptly
• Dispensing inpatient and outpatient IV therapies, including chemotherapy
• Managing inpatient unit dose medications
• Supporting multiple clinical areas such as Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, emergency department, and oncology
• Maintaining smooth pharmacy workflow to meet an inpatient census averaging 30-40 patients

Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficient with EPIC electronic medical records system
• Skilled at multitasking and prioritizing in a dynamic inpatient pharmacy environment
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a clinical team
