Pharmacist Opportunity Outpatient Hospital Setting Sylmar, CA
This role involves providing pharmaceutical services in an outpatient hospital clinic within a large county health system. The position suits pharmacists with retail experience seeking to transition or expand into outpatient hospital pharmacy. Those with PGY1 residency or approximately two years of current inpatient experience will be highly considered.
Location:
- Sylmar, CA
- Positioned within a major county health system encompassing multiple outpatient clinics and hospitals
Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts
- Flexibility to work primarily first and second shifts, with occasional third shifts required
Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately in an outpatient hospital environment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care
- Maintain compliance with regulatory guidelines and system policies
- Prepare for and successfully complete a competency exam to ensure professional standards
- Participate in onboarding and credentialing procedures including background checks
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist authorized to practice in California
- PGY1 residency preferred or a minimum of two years experience in inpatient or outpatient hospital pharmacy
- Ability to adapt to shift flexibility and work within a unionized environment
