Per Diem Retail IV Compounding Pharmacist | Tazewell, Virginia

This per diem opportunity offers an experienced staff pharmacist the chance to contribute to a dynamic retail and compounding environment. Working Fridays from 9 am to 5 pm, you will play a key role in ensuring accuracy and safety across retail prescriptions and non-sterile compound checks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct retail prescription verifications with attention to detail
• Review non-sterile compounded medications, performing necessary calculations related to formulas
• Utilize Pioneer RX for order entry and prescription processing
• Maintain compliance with state regulations and pharmacy best practices
• Provide support within a primarily retail setting, with limited counseling expected

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Virginia pharmacy license is required
• Prior retail pharmacy experience is essential
• Experience or knowledge in non-sterile compounding is highly advantageous
• Strong mathematical skills to accurately verify compounded prescriptions
• Familiarity with Pioneer RX system preferred
