Travel Retail Pharmacist in Troy, NY

A full-time Staff Pharmacist position is available for an outpatient retail pharmacy located in Cooperstown, New York, with occasional coverage required at nearby Oneonta and Delhi locations. This role offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. The position is contract-based and travel is involved.

This outpatient retail pharmacy operates as a high-volume setting, processing approximately 1,100 prescriptions weekly. Currently staffed with two pharmacists daily, this opening is for the second pharmacist role. The pharmacy does not provide sterile compounding or chemotherapy services but offers a Meds to Beds program for hospital patients and immunization services. The pharmacy management system used is PioneerRx, and the EMR system is EPIC for demographics and insurance verification. Providing excellent customer service is a vital aspect of this position and non-negotiable.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Active New York State Pharmacist License in good standing
• Experience in retail or outpatient pharmacy settings required
• Preference for candidates with high-volume dispensing experience
• Familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy management system preferred
• Experience with EPIC EMR system favorable
• Immunization certification or willingness to obtain required
• Comfort with Meds to Beds program operations
• Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills
• Flexibility to provide coverage at Oneonta and Delhi locations as needed
