Hospital Pharmacist in Tucson, AZ

This opportunity is for a travel pharmacist position based in Tucson, AZ, ideal for a hospital pharmacy professional ready for an immediate start. The role operates on a 7-on, 7-off schedule with shifts ranging from 10 to 12 hours, including weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The hospital uses MedHost as its EMR system, and the environment requires a proactive pharmacist who can manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform order verification accurately and timely
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
• Consult with physicians and nurses on medication therapies
• Manage pharmacokinetics tasks including dosing assessments and monitoring
• Handle IV medication preparation and administration oversight

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Arizona pharmacist license is mandatory
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications required
• Proven hospital pharmacy experience with IV certification and hands-on IV experience
• Familiarity and comfort working with MedHost EMR system preferred

Schedule:

• 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
• 10 to 12-hour shifts
• Weekdays: 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Weekends: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
