A licensed Retail Pharmacist opportunity is available in Utica, KY, offering both 13-week contract assignments and direct hire positions. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately review, verify, and dispense prescription medications
- Counsel patients on medication use, interactions, and side effects
- Perform prospective drug utilization reviews
- Administer immunizations and other clinical pharmacist services as applicable
- Communicate with prescribers regarding medication questions or concerns
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Maintain accurate prescription and pharmacy records
- Support pharmacy technicians and team members
- Assist with workflow management and daily pharmacy operations
- Deliver excellent customer service and patient-centered care
Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of practice
- PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited program
- Prior retail or community pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong communication and patient counseling skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced pharmacy environment
- Immunization certification preferred and may be required depending on the assignment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within the pharmacy team
