Pharmacist - Valencia, PA

A part-time Long Term Care Pharmacist opportunity is available, offering 24 hours per week supporting skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice care. This contract role begins with a 1-month assignment and has the potential for extension, providing a flexible yet consistent schedule Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Responsibilities include verifying medication orders entered by data entry technicians, ensuring accuracy in blister-packed, sterile, and non-sterile medications. The role requires effective communication by answering clinical questions and handling calls from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians. Additional duties involve counting and documenting controlled substances in the perpetual inventory and checking emergency medication boxes to maintain compliance and safety.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Pharmacy
• Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience, with Long Term Care pharmacy experience preferred
• Proficiency using QS1, Docutrack, and PCC pharmacy operating systems
• Physical ability to sit, stand, perform fine motor tasks, maintain visual acuity, and lift up to 30 pounds
