IV Sterile Compounding Retail Pharmacist - Wasco, California

A full-time opportunity is available for a dedicated Compounding Pharmacist to support a pharmacy operation in Wasco, CA. This contract assignment runs through July 2026 with potential for permanent placement. Candidates with retail pharmacy experience will also be considered for a dispensing-focused temporary role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding processes ensuring accuracy and safety
• Perform final verification of prescriptions prior to dispensing
• Accurately fill, label, and prepackage medications
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers for order clarifications, refills, and updates
• Counsel patients, addressing their questions and concerns with professionalism
• Maintain strict compliance with USP 795, 797, 800 guidelines and California Board of Pharmacy regulations

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM
• Full-time through July 2026

Qualifications:

• PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree
• Active California Pharmacist license is required
• 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience, with preference given to compounding skills
• Retail pharmacy experience will be considered for candidates focusing solely on dispensing duties
• Strong communication and organizational abilities essential for success in this role
