Travel Hospital Pharmacist in Watsonville, CA

A healthcare facility in Watsonville, CA is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated inpatient pharmacist to support hospital pharmacy operations. This travel position offers an excellent opportunity for pharmacists with hospital experience to contribute to patient care in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure safe medication distribution
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to provide clinical pharmacy consults
• Utilize Cerner electronic health record system for order processing and documentation
• Support adherence to hospital policies and budget requirements

Schedule:

• Five 8-hour shifts per week
• Second shifts available: 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
• Some weekend work required

Desired Qualifications:

• Current California pharmacy license
• Minimum of 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Availability for full-time hours with flexibility to fit within budget
• Proficiency with Cerner or similar hospital IT systems preferred
