Travel Hospital Pharmacist - Waukesha, Wisconsin

A Travel Pharmacist opportunity is available in Ashland, Wisconsin at a 50-bed hospital, perfect for candidates ready to start ASAP. This role involves 12-hour day shifts on a 7-on, 7-off rotation, with a commitment of 13 weeks or more.

Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing medication orders to ensure appropriate drug therapy, dosing, dosage form, and checking for therapeutic duplication and drug interactions
• Providing pharmacokinetic and anticoagulation dosing guidance
• Delivering pharmaceutical care through clinical services such as medication reconciliation and discharge medication education
• Overseeing pharmaceutical compounding with strict adherence to USP regulatory and compliance guidelines, particularly USP 797 and USP 800 standards
• Utilizing EPIC electronic medical records for clinical documentation and communication

Qualifications:

• A valid Wisconsin pharmacist license or the ability to obtain a Wisconsin temporary license
• Minimum of one year of hospital pharmacy experience, demonstrating strong clinical knowledge and patient care skills
• Familiarity with USP 797 and USP 800 guidelines is highly valued
