Seeking an experienced Pharmacist for a hospital setting in Fishersville, VA. This opportunity is based at a 200-bed community hospital and offers a contract position starting ASAP, with a duration of 13 weeks or more. Flexible schedules with a mix of 8 and 10-hour shifts covering variable days and afternoons provide a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and promptly
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
• Consult and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on medication management
• Utilize hospital IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis for pharmacy operations
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Virginia pharmacist license is required
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Proficient with EPIC and Pyxis systems is highly advantageous
