Travel Retail Pharmacist - Webster, NY

A full-time Staff Pharmacist position is available supporting an outpatient retail pharmacy operation primarily based in Cooperstown, New York, with occasional coverage required at nearby locations in Oneonta and Delhi. This contract role offers a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.

This pharmacy fills approximately 1,100 prescriptions weekly and maintains a patient-centered approach emphasizing outstanding customer service. The pharmacy does not handle sterile compounding or chemotherapy, focusing instead on high-quality outpatient services including immunizations and a Meds to Beds program for hospital patients. The pharmacy utilizes PioneerRx management software and EPIC for demographic and insurance data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense outpatient retail prescriptions in a fast-paced environment
• Provide immunization services and participate in the Meds to Beds program
• Deliver exceptional customer service and patient care consistently
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain smooth daily operations
• Occasionally provide coverage at Oneonta and Delhi sites for vacations or sick leave

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active New York State Pharmacist license in good standing
• Experience in retail or outpatient pharmacy settings required
• Comfortable working in a high-volume dispensing environment (1,100 scripts per week preferred)
• Familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy system and EPIC EMR preferred
• Immunization certification or willingness to become certified
• Strong interpersonal skills to prioritize excellent customer service
• Flexibility to cover alternate pharmacy locations occasionally
