Pediatric Inpatient Pharmacist in West Hartford, CT

This position offers an opportunity to contribute to pediatric and inpatient pharmacy care at a respected hospital setting in West Hartford, CT. This contract role spans 13 weeks, beginning on 9/21, with shifts that include a mix of days and evenings, plus rotating weekends consisting of five 8-hour shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Provide pharmaceutical care in inpatient and pediatric settings, supporting clinical and operational functions.
• Depending on experience, roles may include clinical pharmacy services in relevant areas or operational duties such as Pharmacist in Charge and sterile processing in the dispensing pharmacy.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication management.
• Utilize electronic systems like EPIC and Pyxis for medication verification and dispensing.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of pharmacy experience.
• PGY1 residency training preferred; candidates with 2-3 years of experience without residency considered.
• Experience in inpatient pharmacy with some exposure to childrens and womens health preferred.
• Ability to obtain a Connecticut pharmacist license within 7-10 days.
• Proficient with EPIC and Pyxis systems.

Schedule:

• Mix of day and evening shifts.
• Rotating weekend shifts (5 shifts of 8 hours each).
