Travel Hospital Pharmacist | West Jordan, Utah

An opportunity is available for a Travel Pharmacist to support a 200-bed community hospital in the Ogden, UT area. This role requires a dedicated professional to ensure accurate medication dispensing and patient safety within a hospital setting. The assignment begins ASAP and lasts for 13 weeks with a possible extension.

Schedule:

• 2nd shift: 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM
• 7 days on, 7 days off (Wednesday to Tuesday)

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, ensuring compliance and efficiency
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient medication regimens
• Collaborate and consult effectively with physicians and nursing staff
• Utilize hospital information systems including Meditech and Pyxis for medication management

Qualifications:

• Current Utah pharmacist license
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and medication safety
• Competent in using electronic medical records and automated dispensing systems
