Travel Hospital Pharmacist in West Valley City, UT

A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled pharmacist to provide essential support at a 200-bed community hospital. This travel position requires a professional comfortable working in a hospital setting, contributing to patient care through medication management and team collaboration.

Location: West Valley City, UT (with a role based in Ogden, UT)
Job Type: Travel (13 weeks with option to extend)
Schedule:

• Second shift: 12:30 pm to 11:00 pm
• 7 days on, 7 days off (Wednesday to Tuesday)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate order verification to ensure safe medication dispensing
• Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians effectively
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles for optimal drug dosing
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to provide medication consultations
• Utilize hospital IT systems including Meditech and Pyxis for inventory and record management

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Possession of a valid Utah pharmacy license
• Minimum of 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Familiarity with hospital pharmacy processes and systems
• Strong communication and supervisory skills
