Retail Supervising Pharmacy Manager | Albany, New York

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Manager to oversee pharmacy operations with a focus on retail prescription services. This role involves regulatory compliance, financial management, staff supervision, and patient-centered care within a community-focused setting.

Location: Ogdensburg, NY

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM 3:00 PM
• Sunday: Closed

Key Responsibilities:

• Registering with the state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.
• Ensuring the pharmacy adheres to all federal, state, and company regulations and policies.
• Managing pharmacy operations to meet financial targets, including budgeting, payroll, scheduling, third-party administration, and inventory.
• Leading pharmacy support personnel, including training, performance review, and compliance enforcement.
• Participating in local business development and community outreach.
• Delivering patient care services such as counseling on medications, administering immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Maintaining continuous quality improvement initiatives for patient safety.
• Keeping the pharmacy workspace and facilities clean, organized, and compliant with legal standards.
• Completing required continuing education programs in line with state law.
• Assisting with additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid New York State Pharmacy License
• Immunization Certification with confidence in administering all vaccines
• Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager is preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Commitment to exemplary patient care and regulatory compliance
