Oversee and lead a retail pharmacy department with a focus on operational excellence, customer service, and regulatory compliance. This role offers the opportunity to manage pharmacy staff, optimize inventory, and drive clinical program growth in a dynamic retail environment.

Type: Direct Hire
Setting: Retail Pharmacy
Hours: 69 hours bi-weekly
Schedule:

  • 10-hour shifts typically from 9:00 AM 7:00 PM
  • 11-hour shifts typically from 9:00 AM 8:00 PM
  • 12-hour shifts either 8:00 AM 8:00 PM or 9:00 AM 9:00 PM
  • Variable day and afternoon shifts
    Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • Foster collaboration with store operations teams and communicate company strategy to pharmacy associates.
  • Ensure accuracy of prescriptions through Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance adhering to state and federal regulations.
  • Manage the pharmacy department to maximize profitability and script growth by promoting clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
  • Maintain inventory control by tracking sales, ordering pharmaceutical stock, and optimizing stock levels.
  • Align department performance with key measurable metrics to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by addressing medical-related inquiries and providing healthcare counseling.
  • Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including training, coaching, and discipline.
  • Maintain pharmacy security and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Resolve customer concerns to build loyalty and trust.
  • Coordinate with physicians and utilize resources to resolve prescription-related issues.
  • Ensure pharmacy cleanliness and organization and oversee ongoing staff development to enhance performance and reduce turnover.
  • Prioritize departmental tasks including cycle counts, inventory management, and managing will-calls promptly.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree
  • Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
  • Current Pennsylvania Immunization License
  • Proven leadership and management skills in a retail pharmacy setting
