An opening for an experienced Pharmacy Manager is available in a retail setting located in Binghamton, NY. This direct hire role offers a dynamic work environment within a well-established retail pharmacy. The position requires a proactive leader skilled in managing pharmacy operations, driving script growth, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster collaboration with the store operations team to engage associates and effectively communicate department and company strategies.
- Oversee prescription accuracy through thorough Drug Utilization Review and final quality assurance procedures.
- Lead department efforts to build a profitable business, promoting clinical programs including immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
- Manage inventory planning in coordination with pharmacy staff and district management to meet customer demand and optimize profits.
- Align performance objectives with key department metrics to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing healthcare concerns and providing pharmaceutical counseling.
- Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including training, coaching, and discipline.
- Maintain pharmacy security and handle customer issues to build trust and loyalty.
- Liaise with healthcare providers and utilize resources for prescription-related inquiries.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department and prioritize task completion such as cycle counts, inventory control, and customer will-calls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
- Current valid New York State Pharmacist License.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Experience in retail pharmacy management preferred.
Schedule:
- Variable Day and Afternoon shifts.
- Approximately 62 hours bi-weekly.
- Immediate start available.
