Retail Pharmacy Manager - Cooperstown, NY

Oversee pharmacy operations as a Pharmacy Manager in a dynamic retail environment located in Oneonta, NY. This role offers both interim and permanent opportunities, supporting a pharmacy dedicated to patient care, compliance, and financial success. The position involves managing the entire pharmacy department to ensure regulatory adherence, financial objectives, and excellence in patient services.

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Closed Sundays

Key Responsibilities: Register with the state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.
Maintain pharmacy compliance with federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
Oversee pharmacy operations including budgeting, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory management to meet financial goals.
Lead business development initiatives within the store and community.
Supervise pharmacy support personnel, including performance reviews and training.
Ensure all pharmacy staff complete required company training and adhere to regulatory standards.
Participate in patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication use, side effects, and monitor therapy compliance.
Engage in continuous quality improvement efforts to enhance patient safety.
Maintain a clean, organized workstation and department consistent with legal and company standards.
Fulfill continuing education requirements mandated by state law.

Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current New York State Pharmacy License required
Immunization Certification and comfort administering all vaccines required
Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager preferred
