Retail Pharmacy Manager in Delhi, NY

A professional pharmacy manager role is available in Oneonta, NY, overseeing retail pharmacy operations within a well-established facility. This contract opportunity (interim or permanent) offers a structured Monday through Sunday schedule, with hours designed to support both weekday and weekend pharmacy services.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM 3:00 PM
• Closed on Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

• Register with the state board of pharmacy as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations.
• Oversee the full pharmacy operation including budgeting, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory management to maintain financial viability.
• Lead business development initiatives within the store and community.
• Manage pharmacy support staff including performance evaluations and training.
• Ensure pharmacy associates complete all required company training and comply with regulatory standards.
• Deliver patient-centered services including immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Counsel patients and healthcare providers regarding medications, dosages, interactions, and monitor patient progress.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to all legal and company standards.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement efforts to enhance patient safety.
• Complete required continuing education programs.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current New York state pharmacy license.
• Immunization certification with confidence in administering all vaccine types.
• Recent experience in a pharmacy manager role is preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
