Retail Pharmacy Manager in Hamilton, NY

A leading retail pharmacy is currently seeking a qualified Pharmacy Manager for their Norwich, NY location on a contract basis with potential for permanent placement. This role is integral to maintaining compliant, high-quality pharmacy operations and delivering excellent patient care.

Location:

• Norwich, New York

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM 3:00 PM
• Sundays: Closed

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge, registered with the state board of pharmacy.
• Maintain pharmacy compliance with all federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
• Oversee the entire pharmacy departments operations including budget management, payroll, scheduling, inventory, and third-party administration to ensure financial viability.
• Manage pharmacy support personnel, including job performance reviews and training.
• Ensure all pharmacy associates complete mandatory company training.
• Lead patient-centered programs such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness initiatives.
• Counsel patients and healthcare providers regarding drug use, interactions, side effects, and monitor patient health for therapy optimization.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement programs to enhance patient safety.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and professional work environment.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active New York State pharmacist license.
• Immunization certification with comfortable administration of all vaccines (required).
• Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager preferred.
• Strong leadership and regulatory compliance skills.
• Commitment to exemplary patient service and professional judgment.
