Outpatient Supervising Pharmacy Manager | Le Mars, Iowa
An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Manager/Staff Pharmacist to lead and support pharmacy operations in a 340B retail pharmacy located within a critical access hospital. This role offers the chance to manage a committed pharmacy team in a facility that dispenses an average of 140 prescriptions daily, providing essential services to the community.
Pharmacy Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM 6:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- On-call duties possible but infrequent
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulations
- Manage and support pharmacy staff, including one pharmacist and two technicians
- Utilize the Pioneer pharmacy computer system for prescription processing and inventory management
- Uphold the standards of a 340B retail pharmacy within a critical access hospital setting
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration with hospital departments and healthcare providers
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of recent retail or outpatient pharmacy experience
- Active and clear Iowa pharmacist license
- Proficiency with pharmacy computer systems, preferably Pioneer
- Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage a small pharmacy team effectively
- Ability to maintain high standards of patient care under limited staffing conditions (no PRN pharmacist support)
