Hospital Inpatient Pharmacy Manager in Merna, NE

Lead pharmacy operations and manage clinical services as the Pharmacy Manager at a small critical access hospital with 25 beds. This role offers the unique opportunity to function as the working Director of Pharmacy, overseeing staffing, sterile compounding, and day-to-day pharmacy management. The position is contract to hire, lasting approximately 13 weeks, with a strong possibility of transitioning to a permanent role.

Located in Merna, NE, this position provides a professional environment with no on-call responsibilities and a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7 am to 5 pm. The pharmacy utilizes Paragon for order entry and Pyxis for site automation, supporting efficient workflow. You will work alongside two pharmacy technicians dedicated to supporting pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of pharmacy operations including staffing, budgeting, and quality assurance
• Perform sterile compounding duties while ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards
• Provide leadership and direction to pharmacy support staff and ensure optimal patient care
• Coordinate with hospital staff and leadership to streamline pharmacy workflow
• Maintain regulatory compliance, including 340B program oversight as applicable

Desired Qualifications:

• Pharmacy supervisor or management experience required
• Proven inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Demonstrated sterile compounding skills
• Familiarity with 340B drug pricing program is a plus
• Must hold a current Nebraska pharmacy license
