Retail Supervising Pharmacy Manager | Norwich, New York

An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Manager to oversee pharmacy operations in a retail setting located in Norwich, NY. This is a contract position offering either an interim or permanent placement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Register as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge with the state board of pharmacy.
• Ensure pharmacy compliance with all federal, state, and board of pharmacy regulations, as well as company policies.
• Manage full pharmacy department operations including budget, payroll, scheduling, inventory control, and third-party administration to meet financial goals.
• Lead and supervise pharmacy staff, conducting performance reviews, training, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and company standards.
• Engage in business development initiatives, both within the store and the community.
• Provide patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication use, dosage, interactions, side effects, and monitor therapy effectiveness to optimize health outcomes.
• Maintain continuous quality improvement activities ensuring patient safety.
• Keep work areas organized and clean, compliant with legal and company standards.
• Complete mandatory continuing education as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by pharmacy management.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid New York State Pharmacist License.
• Immunization Certification with proficiency in administering all vaccine types.
• Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager is preferred.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM 3:00 PM
• Closed on Sundays
