IV Sterile Compounding Hospital Pharmacy Manager - Richfield Springs, NY

This leadership role is designed for an experienced specialty pharmacy professional ready to shape the future of a growing specialty pharmacy. Initially based out of Oneonta, New York, this position offers a hybrid remote work model to provide flexibility while a new specialty pharmacy location is developed in Utica, New York. Upon completion and licensing of the Utica facility, the role will transition to a fully onsite position, making this opportunity ideal for candidates comfortable with relocation or already residing in the Utica area.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage pharmacy operations at a specialty pharmacy to ensure operational excellence
• Oversee a pharmacy team, fostering a high-performance, patient-focused environment
• Ensure compliance with specialty pharmacy accreditation standards such as URAC and ACHC
• Manage prior authorizations and oversee specialty medication distribution and handling
• Collaborate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacy staff
• Implement best practices related to specialty disease states including oncology, HIV, infusion therapies, and rare diseases

Qualifications:

• Active New York State Pharmacist License in good standing
• Proven specialty pharmacy experience is required
• Demonstrated pharmacy leadership or management experience
• Ability to work in a hybrid remote setting initially and transition to full onsite work in Utica
• Strong operational, organizational, and team management skills
• Familiarity with specialty pharmacy accreditation and prior authorization processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
