Outpatient Supervising Pharmacy Manager - Rock Valley, Iowa

This opportunity is for an experienced Pharmacy Manager to oversee and manage a 340B retail pharmacy located within a critical access hospital in Rock Valley, IA. The pharmacy operates Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM and on Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This contract role offers a chance to lead a small but dedicated team consisting of one pharmacist and two technicians, with on-call duties required only occasionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent patient care
• Supervise and support pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians
• Oversee prescription dispensing and ensure compliance with 340B program requirements
• Utilize the Pioneer pharmacy computer system for prescription processing and record-keeping
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital and regulatory policies
• Collaborate with hospital staff to support outpatient clinic services

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• A minimum of 1 year of recent retail or outpatient pharmacy experience
• Active and clear Iowa pharmacist license
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with a small team without additional PRN pharmacist support
• Experience with 340B pharmacy program is a plus

Additional Details:

• Prescription volume averages about 140 prescriptions per day
• No automation or mail order services on site
• On-call responsibilities are possible but infrequent
