Supervising Pharmacy Manager - Schenectady, New York
Oversee the comprehensive operations of a pharmacy department with a focus on compliance, financial performance, and exemplary patient care in an interim or permanent role located in Ogdensburg, NY. This position requires a dynamic leader adept at managing pharmacy staff, regulatory adherence, and expanding community health initiatives.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM 3:00 PM
- Closed Sundays
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the registered Supervising Pharmacist or Pharmacist in Charge, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and board of pharmacy regulations as well as company policies.
- Manage the pharmacy departments operations, including budgeting, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory to achieve financial goals.
- Lead, train, and evaluate pharmacy support personnel, ensuring high standards of job performance and regulatory adherence.
- Drive business development initiatives within both the store and community settings.
- Engage in patient-centered services such as immunizations, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and wellness programs.
- Provide expert counseling to patients and healthcare providers regarding medication usage, side effects, interactions, and ongoing health monitoring.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and ensure pharmacy facilities meet all legal and company standards.
- Participate in continual quality improvement efforts to enhance patient safety and care.
- Fulfill continuing education requirements mandated by state law.
Qualifications:
- Current New York State Pharmacist License
- Immunization Certification with comfort administering all types of vaccines (required)
- Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager is preferred
