Outpatient Supervising Pharmacy Manager - Sheldon, Iowa
Oversee daily pharmacy operations and lead a dedicated team in a 340B retail pharmacy located within a critical access hospital setting. This role requires strong leadership and hands-on pharmacy practice to maintain exceptional service for approximately 140 prescriptions filled daily. The pharmacy operates with a staff of one pharmacist and two technicians, utilizing the Pioneer pharmacy computer system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage pharmacy workflow and staff scheduling to ensure efficient service delivery
- Oversee prescription processing and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
- Support outpatient and retail pharmacy operations, focusing on accuracy and patient safety
- Handle occasional on-call duties, though rarely required
- Collaborate with hospital departments to align pharmacy services with patient care objectives
Qualifications:
- Active and clear Iowa pharmacist license
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in retail or outpatient pharmacy settings
- Proficient in pharmacy management and prescription processing systems, specifically Pioneer
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Schedule:
- Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM 6:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- On-call availability possible, generally infrequent
