Outpatient Supervising Pharmacy Manager | Sioux Center, Iowa
This opportunity calls for a Pharmacy Manager to oversee operations at a 340b retail pharmacy located within a critical access hospital. The setting offers a focused outpatient/clinic environment with a prescription volume averaging 140 per day. You will lead a small team consisting of one pharmacist and two pharmacy technicians, driving efficient workflow and exceptional patient care.
Location: Sioux Center, IA
Schedule:
- Monday Thursday: 8:00 AM 6:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- On-call duties: Possible but infrequent
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with pharmacy staff to provide quality pharmaceutical care.
- Maintain accuracy and efficiency in dispensing prescriptions.
- Oversee use of the Pioneer pharmacy computer system to support workflow and documentation.
- Support and assist in daily outpatient pharmacy activities within a critical access hospital environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in retail or outpatient pharmacy practice.
- Active and clear Iowa pharmacist license.
- Experience operating in 340b pharmacy programs desirable.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a compact team without PRN staffing support.
