Retail Pharmacy Manager - Vestal, NY

A leadership role is available for a Pharmacy Manager to oversee retail pharmacy operations in the Binghamton, NY area. This direct hire position requires a licensed pharmacist who can manage both the clinical and business aspects of a busy retail pharmacy. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong operational and supervisory skills while driving script growth and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with store operations to foster associate engagement and communicate pharmacy and company strategies effectively.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in prescription dispensing by conducting Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance according to state and federal regulations.
• Lead the department in achieving profitability targets while expanding prescription volumes through clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
• Manage inventory by tracking weekly sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand and maximize profits.
• Align departmental performance with measurable objectives focused on effectiveness and efficiency.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, resolve issues, and provide healthcare counseling to patients.
• Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including training, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain pharmacy security and ensure the department is clean and orderly.
• Engage with healthcare providers to resolve prescription-related issues using appropriate reference materials.
• Oversee routine pharmacy duties such as cycle counts, inventory management, and managing will-call prescriptions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• Current and valid New York State Pharmacist License.
• Proven experience in retail pharmacy management preferred.

This is a direct hire opportunity offering a competitive salary range of $59.50-$71.50 per hour, with potential for higher compensation based on experience.
