Retail Supervising Pharmacy Manager - Vestal, New York

A retail pharmacy in Binghamton, NY is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead their pharmacy team. This direct hire position offers a variable day/afternoon schedule totaling approximately 62 hours bi-weekly, with an immediate start date available. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in driving pharmacy operations while fostering strong collaborative relationships within the store.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the store operations team to enhance associate engagement and clearly communicate pharmacy department and company strategies.
• Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions through thorough Drug Utilization Reviews and final quality assurance checks in compliance with state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Manage the pharmacy departments profitability and growth by implementing clinical programs such as immunizations, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and other identified initiatives.
• Oversee inventory control through coordination with the District Manager, tracking weekly sales, and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand.
• Align performance objectives with the seven key measurable department metrics for effectiveness and efficiency.
• Deliver excellent customer service by addressing medical inquiries, providing healthcare counseling, and resolving customer complaints to foster loyalty.
• Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, conducting training, coaching, and disciplinary actions as necessary.
• Maintain the security of the pharmacy department and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
• Prioritize and complete pharmacy operational tasks, including cycle counts, inventory management, and will-call follow-ups.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
• Current New York Pharmacist License.
• Proven leadership and management experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
