Inpatient IV Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician | Albion, Michigan

A position is available for a Pharmacy Technician with specialized skills in hospital pharmacy and IV compounding. This role involves rotating day and evening shifts, supporting inpatient pharmacy operations within a hospital setting.

Location: Albion, MI
Job Type: Contract to Direct Hire (13 weeks)
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, rotating shifts starting at 6:30 am, 7:00 am, and 8:30 am (8-hour shifts)
• Second shift starts at 2:30 pm
• Rotating weekends from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
• 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Filling Pyxis medication dispensing machines and delivering orders to nursing floors
• Conducting nursing unit inspections to ensure compliance
• Preparing IV admixtures and sterile compounded medications according to protocols
• Utilizing Pyxis and Cerner systems to support medication management processes

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Michigan Pharmacy Technician license
• PTCB national certification
• Proven inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Strong background in IV admixture and sterile compounding
