Inpatient Pharmacy Technician | Appleton, Wisconsin
This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support inpatient hospital pharmacy operations in a dynamic healthcare environment. The position involves handling critical pharmacy functions using Pyxis automation, ensuring medication safety, and maintaining sterile compounding standards.
Location: Richland Center, WI
Job Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- 8 or 10-hour shifts
- Every 4th weekend, 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Restocking Pyxis machines and conducting outdate checks
- Restocking medications, IVs, and supplies to maintain inventory levels
- Entering charges accurately into the system
- Ordering and receiving drug shipments
- Monitoring storage temperatures to ensure compliance
- Preparing sterile products and compounding chemotherapy medications
- Performing daily cleanroom cleaning and adhering to sterile procedures
- Performing other duties as assigned to support pharmacy operations
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Wisconsin pharmacy technician license
- Proven experience in inpatient hospital pharmacy settings
- Skilled in sterile compounding, especially chemotherapy preparation
- Familiarity with Pyxis automation system
