IV Sterile Compounding Inpatient Pharmacy Technician - Bellevue, Michigan

Pharmacy technicians with strong hospital and IV compounding expertise are needed for a contract-to-hire position in Bellevue, MI. This role offers a dynamic schedule with rotating day and evening shifts, providing opportunities to develop specialized skills in a fast-paced inpatient hospital pharmacy setting.

Shift and Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, rotating start times: 6:30 am, 7:00 am, and 8:30 am (8-hour shifts)
• Second shift rotation starting at 2:30 pm
• Rotating weekends from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
• 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare IV admixtures and sterile compounds following hospital protocols and safety standards
• Fill Pyxis automated medication dispensing machines and deliver medication orders to nursing floors
• Conduct nursing unit inspections to ensure medication safety and compliance
• Utilize Cerner pharmacy systems for accurate order processing and documentation
• Collaborate closely with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure precise medication administration

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Pharmacy Technician license
• PTCB national certification
• Proven inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Expertise in IV sterile compounding and admixture preparation
