IV Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician | Bixby, Oklahoma

This position offers an opportunity to work as a Pharmacy Technician specializing in home infusion within a well-regulated environment adhering to USP 797 clean room guidelines. The role is based in Bixby, OK, and involves dayshift work from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, on a 16-week contract-to-hire basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill prescriptions and prepare intravenous (IV) admixtures, including total parenteral nutrition (TPN), following sterile compounding protocols.
• Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to enter prescription data into the computer system, supporting reimbursement processing.
• Work under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to prepackage medications in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Assist the Pharmacist with the final verification and packaging of prescriptions, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to patients.
• Support Pharmacy Management in inventory control, including receipt, rotation, and documentation of medication lot numbers and expiration dates, as well as conducting physical inventories.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Oklahoma Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Previous experience in home infusion or inpatient hospital pharmacy settings.
• Proficiency with sterile compounding and strict adherence to USP 797 clean room standards.
• Solid understanding of pharmacy operations, medication preparation, and quality assurance practices.

• Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
