Pharmacy Technician | Bridgeton, New Jersey

This opportunity is designed for an experienced Pharmacy Technician ready to contribute in a long-term care (LTC) mail order pharmacy environment. The position offers a 9-week contract with the possibility of direct hire, providing a pathway for career growth. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with occasional weekends as needed.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 5:30 PM
• Possible weekend shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill prescriptions in accordance with established standards and government regulations.
• Enter prescription data into computer systems to facilitate processing and reimbursement.
• Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to prepackage medications.
• Assist the Pharmacist in the final review and packaging of prescriptions prior to dispensing.
• Coordinate timely and accurate delivery of medications to customers.
• Support Pharmacy Management in inventory control, including receiving supplies, rotating stock, and maintaining accurate records of lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by monitoring equipment calibration, safety, and cleanliness.

Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey Pharmacy Technician License required.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience is essential.
• Experience in LTC pharmacy settings is highly beneficial.
• Skills in IV preparation or sterile compounding are a plus.
