Pharmacy Technician | Brockton, Massachusetts

A remote Pharmacy Technician position is available for a dedicated professional skilled in pharmacy operations and Medicare Part B processes. This role offers a temp-to-hire opportunity, accepting candidates nationwide who hold an active PTCB certification.

Location: Remote
Schedule:

• MondayFriday: 11:30 AM 8:00 PM ET and 9:30 AM 6:00 PM ET shifts available
• Mandatory rotating weekends
• No days off except emergencies from January 1, 2027, through March 31, 2027
  Contract Duration: October 1, 2026 March 31, 2027 (6 months)

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and process prior authorization requests adhering to established guidelines and decision trees
• Triage and enter incoming prior authorization requests from healthcare providers
• Support Medicare Part B medication prior authorizations and preferred product strategies
• Communicate with providers and hospitals to obtain necessary clinical documentation
• Convey authorization decisions and follow up with providers and members as needed
• Assist in identifying alternative treatment options when necessary
• Provide operational support to Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacists, and Physicians for timely and accurate processing
• Serve as a liaison for internal teams, external providers, and partners
• Collaborate with offshore clinical teams involved in utilization management pharmacy workflows
• Interpret plan benefits and manage specialty pharmacy overrides to support accurate claim adjudication

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active PTCB certification required
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Familiarity with Medicare Part B operations, particularly utilization management, prior authorizations, medical benefits, or pharmacy help desk functions
• Experience working with Medicare populations
• Strong computer proficiency, including multi-system navigation and Google Workspace/G Suite
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Prior experience in utilization management and prior authorization processes strongly preferred
