Inpatient Pharmacy Technician - Brookfield, Wisconsin

This position offers dedicated pharmacy technicians an opportunity to contribute within an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting. The role is based in Richland Center, WI, and involves a 13-week contract commitment. The environment supports the use of automation systems, specifically Pyxis, to ensure efficient medication management and patient safety.

Responsibilities include:

• Restocking Pyxis medication and supply cabinets.
• Conducting outdate checks to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Preparing sterile products, including chemotherapy agents, in a cleanroom environment.
• Entering charges accurately for billing purposes.
• Ordering and receiving drug shipments to maintain stock levels.
• Monitoring medication storage temperatures to comply with safety standards.
• Performing daily cleanroom cleaning and aseptic techniques.
• Supporting IV preparation and other pharmacy-related duties as assigned.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
• 8 or 10-hour shifts, with every 4th weekend shift from 7:00 AM 3:00 PM

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Wisconsin.
• Proven experience working in an inpatient pharmacy setting.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with sterile compounding.
• Proficiency with Pyxis automated medication dispensing systems.
