Hospital Pharmacy Technician in Camarillo, CA

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician to support a 250-bed inpatient hospital setting located in the Camarillo area. This role involves assisting with a variety of pharmacy duties in a hospital environment, providing essential support to healthcare professionals and patients.

Location: Ventura County, California
Type: Contract
Schedule: Variable days and afternoons, with shifts every other weekend
Start Date: As soon as possible
Duration: Long-term contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding following hospital protocols
• Restock Pyxis units to ensure efficient medication dispensing
• Respond professionally to incoming pharmacy calls and requests
• Assist pharmacy staff with inpatient medication management and distribution

Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid California Pharmacy Technician license
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply; prior experience with intravenous (IV) compounding or training is required
• Ability to adapt to a variable schedule and work weekends on a rotational basis
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
