PHARMACY TECHNICIAN INPATIENT HOSPITAL | Chicago, IL

RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract with intent to hire! This is a great opportunity for a technician with both inpatient hospital and sterile compounding experience who is looking for a long-term opportunity.

Position Details

Setting: Inpatient Hospital
Assignment: 13 weeks, with intent to hire
Schedule: MondayFriday with rotating weekends
Rotating Shifts:
7:00 AM3:30 PM
9:00 AM5:30 PM
2:30 PM10:00 PM
Must be comfortable working a rotating schedule and weekends

Responsibilities

Work in both inpatient pharmacy operations and the sterile compounding cleanroom
Compound sterile medication batches
Prepare and maintain crash carts
Fill and manage Omnicell automated dispensing systems
Perform automated cart fills
Support daily inpatient pharmacy technician operations
Follow sterile compounding procedures and medication safety standards
Assist with other pharmacy duties as needed

Requirements

Previous inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
Recent sterile compounding experience
Chemo compounding experience is a BIG PLUS
Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License
PTCB Certification
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
