Home Infusion Pharmacy Technician | Cicero, New York

This role focuses on providing expert support within a home infusion pharmacy setting, working alongside pharmacists to ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate preparation and delivery of sterile medications. The position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a direct hire opportunity in Cicero, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily pharmacy operations and workflow in collaboration with pharmacists to maintain smooth service delivery.
• Process prescriptions, enter orders, and handle documentation under pharmacist supervision.
• Prepare and compound sterile medications following laws, USP standards, and company policies.
• Maintain clean room environments, pharmacy equipment, and infusion devices to uphold regulatory and safety standards.
• Perform quality assurance and control activities to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory guidelines.
• Manage pharmacy inventory including ordering, receiving, stocking, and monitoring medications and supplies.
• Coordinate patient medication, supply, and equipment refills and deliveries to support ongoing care.
• Maintain accurate patient, pharmacy, and operational records using electronic management systems.
• Deliver professional customer service through clear communication with patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and internal teams.
• Support reimbursement and administrative requirements by verifying authorizations and managing pharmacy records.
• Generate and maintain operational, quality, and management reports and participate in continuous performance improvement.

Qualifications:

• Current New York State Pharmacy Technician license.
• PTCB certification or eligibility to obtain certification within six months of hire.
• Completion of Sterile Compounding training.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, drug use, aseptic techniques, and USP standards.
• At least one year of pharmacy technician experience preferred, specifically within sterile compounding, home infusion, hospital, or specialty pharmacy settings.
