Mail Order Pharmacy Technician in Clearwater, FL
A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician III in a mail order pharmacy setting. This role involves processing prescription orders with accuracy, managing inventory, and providing support in medication preparation and shipping. The position reports directly to the Operations Manager, Pharmacy, and is based in Clearwater, FL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret SIG codes, select appropriate products, and process prescription refills efficiently.
- Perform data entry tasks including insurance verification and resolving claim rejections.
- Prepare, label, and package medications for pharmacist approval ensuring quality standards.
- Maintain inventory by completing cycle counts and managing returns.
- Handle inbound and outbound patient calls as well as prescriber requests professionally.
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and CCS compliance protocols.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- High school diploma or GED combined with 4+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Active VA license and PTCB certification required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Schedule / Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
