Pharmacy Technician - Coatesville, PA

Join a specialty compounding pharmacy as a Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician in the Coatesville, PA area, working on a 13-week contract-to-hire basis. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe and accurate preparation of sterile and non-sterile compounded medications, adhering strictly to USP standards and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain compliance with USP standards and internal protocols in sterile and non-sterile compounding through ongoing training and competency assessments.
• Accurately read, interpret, and enter prescription orders into the pharmacy system.
• Prepare and compound medications according to established formulations under pharmacist supervision.
• Complete formula log sheets and ensure all documentation meets compliance requirements.
• Measure, mix, package, and label compounded medications with precision.
• Manage inventory to maintain adequate levels of ingredients, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
• Assist in batch compounding, product labeling, and verifying log entries.
• Ensure timely preparation and fulfillment of compounded prescriptions for shipping or patient pickup.
• Maintain accurate records of all compounded products and document work performed thoroughly.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Proven experience in sterile compounding is required.
• Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license is mandatory.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
