Pharmacy Technician in Coatesville, PA

A specialty compounding pharmacy is seeking an experienced Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Kennett Square, PA. This role plays a critical part in delivering safe, accurate compounded medications to meet patient needs while maintaining strict compliance with USP standards and pharmaceutical best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to USP guidelines in both sterile and non-sterile compounding through continuous training and competency assessments.
• Accurately read and interpret prescriptions, entering orders into the pharmacy system for processing.
• Prepare and compound medications following established formulations under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist in maintaining precise formula log sheets and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Measure, mix, package, and label compounded medications with accuracy and care.
• Manage inventory levels for ingredients, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Support batch compounding, labeling, and verification processes.
• Coordinate timely fulfillment of compounded prescriptions for shipping or patient pickup.
• Maintain detailed records of all compounded products and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Demonstrated experience in sterile compounding is required.
• Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license is mandatory.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Choose between 8:00 AM 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM 5:30 PM shifts
