Pharmacy Technician - Converse, Texas

A 13-week assignment is available for a Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician in Converse, TX. This contract opportunity offers shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, providing flexibility to fit your preferred schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compound sterile prescriptions accurately, following all applicable policies, procedures, and state regulations.
• Support the pharmacist in dispensing medications and supplies.
• Perform pharmaceutical calculations to confirm correct dosages.
• Label and package medications appropriately.
• Participate in medication incident management, including identification, documentation, and reporting.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of pharmacy work surfaces and laminar flow hoods.
• Inspect and report equipment issues, ensuring operational safety.
• Keep detailed temperature logs and cleaning records.
• Assist with overall pharmacy organization and compliance efforts.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Active Pharmacy Technician license in Texas.
• Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
• IV Certification enabling sterile compounding duties.
