LTC Mail Order Pharmacy Technician | Dallas, Texas

A Pharmacy Technician position is available to support long-term care and mail-order pharmacy operations in a fast-paced environment. This contract-to-hire opportunity involves a 2nd shift schedule from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am Monday through Friday, with an initial 8-week duration and the potential for permanent placement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill prescriptions for pharmacist verification while supporting pharmacists in a high-volume setting
• Learn and operate complex automated dispensing systems efficiently
• Assist pharmacists in preparing IV medications and prepackaging medications following government regulations
• Partner with Billing Supervisor to enter prescription data and help obtain reimbursement payments
• Support final medication checks and ensure timely, accurate delivery to customers
• Maintain inventory by receiving, rotating medications, posting lot numbers, and assisting with physical counts
• Help maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring proper calibration and cleanliness of equipment

Required Qualifications:

• Texas pharmacy technician license
• National certification from PTCB or NHA
• Dependable, punctual, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with sterile compounding is a plus
• IV Certification preferred
