Mail Order LTC Pharmacy Technician | Detroit, Michigan

A contract opportunity is available for skilled Pharmacy Technicians to support long-term care and mail order pharmacy operations in Detroit, MI. This role offers a rotating schedule between day and evening shifts, providing flexibility and variety over the 7-week contract duration. Four positions are open to qualified candidates.

Location: Detroit, MI
Schedule:

• Rotating days/evenings
• 8:00 AM 5:00 PM or 1:00 PM 9:00 PM
  Duration: 7 weeks contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill prescriptions and prepare IV medications under pharmacist supervision
• Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to enter prescription data for processing and reimbursement
• Prepackage medications compliant with standards and government regulations under the direct oversight of a Registered Pharmacist
• Assist in final verification and packaging of medications to ensure quality and accuracy before delivery
• Maintain medication inventory, including receiving, rotating stock, and documenting lot numbers and expiration dates
• Support a clean and safe work environment by monitoring equipment calibration, safety, and cleanliness
• Work closely with pharmacy management and technician supervisors to maintain operational excellence

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Michigan Pharmacy Technician License required
• Experience with Long Term Care pharmacy operations is preferred
• Sterile compounding and IV preparation experience is a strong plus
