Pharmacy Technician in Downingtown, PA

A Specialty Compounding Pharmacy is seeking a skilled Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to support their Kennett Square, PA facility on a 13-week contract-to-hire basis. This role is crucial for maintaining high-quality standards and regulatory compliance in sterile and non-sterile compounding processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with USP and FDA guidelines through ongoing training and competency assessments.
• Accurately read and interpret prescriptions, entering orders into the pharmacy system.
• Prepare and compound medications under pharmacist supervision following established formulations.
• Assist with preparation of formula log sheets, maintaining proper documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Measure, mix, package, and label compounded medications with precision.
• Manage inventory levels of ingredients, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Support batch compounding, labeling, and verification of log entries.
• Facilitate timely fulfillment and preparation of compounded prescriptions for shipment or patient pickup.
• Maintain accurate records and document all compounding activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of recent pharmacy technician experience.
• Proven experience in sterile compounding is required.
• Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license is mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and compliance-oriented mindset.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• Options: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM 5:30 PM
