Pharmacy Technician | Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey

This opportunity is ideal for a Pharmacy Technician seeking a contract-to-hire position in a Long-Term Care (LTC) mail order pharmacy setting. The role offers a standard Monday through Friday day shift from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with occasional weekend hours, for a 9-week contract duration and the potential for permanent hire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill prescription orders in compliance with regulations.
• Enter prescription data into the computer system to ensure proper reimbursement.
• Prepackage medications under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, adhering to government standards.
• Assist the Pharmacist in the final review, packaging, and preparation of medications for timely delivery.
• Support pharmacy management in inventory control, including receiving, rotating stock, and tracking lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and calibrated work environment by performing routine checks and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid New Jersey Pharmacy Technician license is required.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience is essential.
• Experience in long-term care pharmacy preferred.
• Knowledge or experience with IV preparation or sterile compounding is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently under supervision while maintaining attention to detail.

• Position is based in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 5:30 PM.
• Weekend shifts may be required occasionally.
